This is how it all started

This is an embarrassing story about my lovely Babe. Yes, I know my boyfriend did a mistake and let her out with our other dogs when she was in end of her season/heat. So when I came home he told me so. But, we both concluded that probably nothing had happen anyway, as her heat was almost ended. Well, I had to check her, because after we came home from holyday I have been thinking that Babe has eaten to much when we were away on, and I thought she had got a strange figure, and also been sleeping more then she usually do. I thought it was because of the warm weather. First I really got worried for her, as I thought she was ill, her abdomen was so big, but in the other way she behaved healthy. My conclusion had to be; Babe is pregnant, and due to whelp in end of July. Luckily I remember almost when she was let out in to the garden to the others, so I could estimate when she was due to welp. The only thing I hoped for was that Sky was not the sinner ! Rick was not in the garden, my boyfriend seem to be pretty sure about that,….so let us hope that Zac is the future father. We must DNA test the puppies anyway to ensure which one of my three boys is the father… If we get white puppies (as we did not get) then the father must be Sky. “Sigh”, these white puppies can be hard of hearing and eyesight (or worse deaf or blind)... "Never mate a merle to a merle". I am glad we didn't get any white one's. Anyway, if Sky was the father there would not be any papers on this litter through the fact that this will be hard inbreeding, and I therefore will prevent further breeding from these offspring. If Zac is the father everything would be perfect, and that combination is actually wished.

Babe is 1,5 years old, young for haveing puppies, but luckily old enough according to the Kennel Club rules.  

I am happy that I’m not working the next months anyway, and that I will stay at home renovating our new house in any case. It's legal to say that this is nothing to be proud of, but it's still the honest facts, I can only do the best I can for the mother and the future puppies, as we will do in any case.

Rick was the father !
